Public Ruling is operated by VOXGRID TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED (CIN U58200UW2026PTC258640), F-22, Madhav Puri Colony, Maholi Road, Mathura – 281004, Uttar Pradesh, India. In these documents, “Public Ruling”, “we” and “us” refer to this company.
The One Rule Behind Every Rule
Attack the argument, never the person. Public Ruling exists so that people who disagree can argue in public and let the public decide. Strong opinions are welcome. Cruelty is not.
Always Allowed
- Unpopular opinions, sharp criticism of ideas, institutions, policies, and public figures acting in public roles.
- Evidence: attach documents, cite sources, link videos. Well-argued positions rise.
- Losing a debate. Nobody is punished for a viewpoint — on Public Ruling, members are removed for conduct, never for views.
Never Allowed
- Harassment, threats, or targeting private individuals; doxxing (posting private info).
- Hate speech — attacking people for religion, caste, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, or disability.
- Sexual content involving minors (zero tolerance, reported to authorities), or non-consensual intimate content.
- Deliberate misinformation presented as fact, especially around elections and public health; impersonation and fake accounts.
- Vote manipulation, bot rings, engagement farming, or buying/selling accounts and votes.
- Spam, scams, and unlabelled promotion.
Your Safety Tools
You never need our permission to protect your own experience. Two tools are always available on any profile or chat:
- Block — the hard boundary. A blocked person can’t follow you, message you, or vote and comment on your topics. You won’t see each other’s content anywhere on the platform — feeds, threads, or search. They are never notified, and their old comments stay visible to everyone else so public debates remain intact.
- Restrict — the quiet boundary. A restricted person can keep using the app normally, but you stop receiving their notifications and stop seeing their comments. Nobody else’s view changes, and they are never told. Use it when blocking feels like too much — a relative, a colleague, someone you’d rather mute than confront.
Both are reversible any time from Privacy & Safety in the app. Blocking or restricting someone is your boundary — it is separate from reporting, which asks our moderation team to review content against these guidelines. If someone is breaking the rules, do both: block for yourself, report for everyone else.
One honest limit: blocking hides people from each other, but it never hides anyone from moderation. Content that breaks the rules is reviewed and actioned even if every witness has blocked the author.
Debates & Reactions
- One-on-one debates are moderated for conduct; concluding a debate by report is reviewed by humans.
- Video reactions go through moderation before wide distribution; keep them on-topic and within the rules above.
Enforcement & Appeals
Depending on severity: content removal → feature limits → suspension → permanent ban. Every enforcement action can be appealed in-app (Moderation Appeals) and community-removals get a final hearing from the Platform. Repeat and severe violations skip steps.
