Privacy Policy

This policy explains how VOXGRID TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED (CIN U58200UW2026PTC258640), registered office: F-22, Madhav Puri Colony, Maholi Road, Mathura – 281004, Uttar Pradesh, India ("Public Ruling", "we") — the Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 — collects and uses your personal data.

1. What We Collect

• Account data — name, handle, phone/email (for login and OTP), profile photo, and the location you choose (state/district, optional vidhan sabha (assembly constituency)).
• Content & activity — topics, votes, comments, reactions, debates, follows, and engagement signals used for ranking your feed.
• Safety preferences — the lists of accounts you block or restrict. We store these so we can enforce them across the Platform (feeds, comments, votes, follows, chat, and notifications).
• Payments — order and transaction records. Card/UPI details are processed by Razorpay or your app store; we never store full payment instruments.
• Device & usage — device type, app version, crash logs, and analytics events.

2. How We Use It

To run the Platform (feeds, notifications, debates, wallet), keep it safe (moderation, fraud and manipulation detection), improve it (aggregated analytics), and meet legal obligations. Local content ranking may use your chosen location so debates from your area surface first.

3. What Others See

Your handle, display name, photo, public content, vote counts on your content, and your chosen state/district are public by design — this is an opinion platform. Your phone number and email are never public. Profile visibility controls (public/followers/private) are available in the app.

Your block and restrict lists are private. They are never shown to other users — including the people on them. We do not notify anyone that they have been blocked or restricted.

4. Insights & Aggregated Data

We publish and may license aggregated, de-identified opinion insights (e.g. "62% of respondents in District X agree"). These datasets never contain names, handles, phone numbers, or anything that identifies you.

5. Sharing

We share personal data only with service providers (Data Processors) that help us run the Platform, under contracts that limit their use to our instructions:

• Hosting, database & login — Google Cloud and Google Firebase; MongoDB Atlas; Cloudflare (content delivery and media storage).
• Search — Typesense (search index of public content and public profile fields only).
• Login codes & messages — Meta (WhatsApp Business) and MSG91 (SMS) to deliver one-time passwords; Brevo for service emails.
• Payments — Razorpay, Apple App Store and Google Play.
• Verification of organisations and offices — identity/GST verification providers, only when an organisation applies for a verified page.
• Video — YouTube embeds for The Show.

Some providers may store or process data outside India; we use only countries and providers permitted under Indian law. We also share data with authorities where the law requires — see our Law Enforcement guidelines in the app. We do not sell personal data.

6. Retention & Your Rights

• Account data is kept while your account is active; you can request deletion in-app (Privacy Management) or by email. Deletion anonymises your profile; some records are retained where the law requires (e.g. payment records).
• You can access, correct, and export your data, and withdraw consents, subject to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already done.
• You can nominate another person to exercise your rights in case of your death or incapacity.
• If there is a personal data breach that affects you, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.
• If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India after using our grievance process.

7. Children

The Platform is only for people aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data of anyone under 18; if we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we remove it and delete the related data.
